The flunt pepper is a pepper originally farmed by the native Fentol Tribe, it is mild, and tastes very good, it is usually used as a seasoning, or added to smoothies to add a bit of heat. It also has a sweet touch due to selective breeding.
It is tiny, about the size and shape of a carolina reaper, but instead of bright red, it is more of a dark deep rich maroon. Also wrinkly. It gives off an appearance if a super hot spicy pepper high in scovilles, but is mild and quite sweet, easily popped in the mouth as a spicy treat. Due to this, many are at first shocked when they see someone casually eat one, leading to a good prank.
Its name comes from the Fentolese word “flƆnŧ” pronounced like “flount”.
