The sorginner is a very common songbird in Axolotlia, it's song is a long, melancholic “booo… ooh-ooh… wooo…” that is sung across the islands every morning from spring to fall.
It's name comes from the Axolisc word “sorgin” meaning sorrow, which comes from the Old English word “Sorgian”, meaning sorrow.
They are small and dark blue, about the size of a chickadee, they are very friendly and will even eat from your hand. They are hyperactive.
They hibernate in winter, they are omnivores.
