During a particularly long and harsh winter, the Fentolese Empire (the largest native Axolotlian tribe, comparable in power to the Aztecs) prayed to their gods and hoped that the nimberberries would grow. But it was too cold even for the nimberberries, so the Fentolese leader asked a gret to ask the gods to restore normal winter (symbolically, because they knew a lot of science and that they really just had to wait it out). Then, the myth goes that the gret, always wanting more nimberberries, actually went to the gods and shat everywhere, all over the gods' freshly maintained lawn (as grets do). This enraged the gods, who sternly told the gret to stop. The gret then viciously attacked the gods (anticlimactically, of course; it's like a chipmunk attacking an elephant). The gods, mildly frustrated by the mess and slight annoyance of scratches, restored normal winter.
