Airhors

The airhors is a large predatory bird, it is a type of eagle that has evolved the unique ability to hover in place. Its wingspan is 6-8 feet. It has the ability to kill and lift large prey but often chooses to eat carrion instead, much like a vulture. It is mostly in the Arada desert but sometimes ventures into the Central Axolotlian Mountains, usually to nest among the treetops.

The airhorses on Presin Island, due to it being far from the mountains, instead nest on the rocky desert coasts of Presin Island.

It's main prey is the wild hilsks, although hilsks have evolved to effectively evade the airhorses.
