Naming
As you can likely see, names of things in Axolotlia can get very, very long “The Axolotlian Government Provided Life Inc. Protection of Former Neo-Slaves Initiative Program” and “The Dump Truck Full Of Individually Wrapped Slices Of American Cheese Festival” are two examples.
The reason that names get so long in Axolotlia is because of the specificity that Axolotlians like having.
Grent: Half the country named for Grets.
Grenton, Grentburg, Grentlε, Grent Isle, Grent Rivers, and Grent Sea all named after the Fentolese word gŕęnt, meaning gret. Also the Gret river and a few as of yet unnamed towns.
Native Name for the Islands
The native name for the Axolotlian Islands is not Æksolŧküa, the name for Axolotlia, because Axolotlia is a modern country, the native name for the islands far predates any Axolotlia, because it predates axolotls in the islands.
It is Mamantoü, or Mamantou, from the Fentolese word mantoü for island.
