Columbus found Axolotlia during his first voyage, he knew it was not Asia, so he left relatively quickly and never came back, it wouldn't be until the British found it in 1586 that Axolotlia would start getting colonized.

Columbus did make a few stops at Fentolese ports to restock during his voyages.
